About Mundy Veneer
In 1997, after 20 years acquiring experience and establishing a reputation within the veneer industry, Simon Mundy founded Mundy Veneer with his wife Alison, a city lawyer. The company immediately experienced success and in 2002 relocated from London to Wellington in Somerset, where we now have a showroom and over 200,000 square metres of stock on site. In 2009 renowned veneer specialist, Guy Peskin, joined our sales team.
As well as traditional veneer merchants we are also the exclusive distributors for Tabu products in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Tabu is a world class Italian veneer mill which specialises in dyeing natural wood veneers in a vast range of colours and manufacturing Newood, a range of reconstituted veneers.
Like us, Tabu has strong views about the conservation of our precious environment, investing in tree planting projects and encouraging proper forest management and re-afforestation. Here at Mundy Veneer we are committed to the promotion of the sustainable use of timber worldwide and we are fully accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC).
With many of the top designers, architects and furniture makers specifying our veneers you can see our high quality veneers in Stella McCartney's shops, Grange Hotels, Candy & Candy's One Hyde Park development, the stunning interiors of super yachts, Heathrow Terminal 5, David Linley's bespoke furniture, Mark Wilkinson kitchens to name but a few.
Our clients rightly expect choice, quality, and good service and we work hard to meet exact requirements through our company philosophy of doing what we say, fairly, honestly and efficiently whilst still keeping our sense of humour.....
